I just know that as these ungodly music keeps thriving, God is raising generals who are singing Christian songs that will break waves in our generation. And trust me, the world cannot help but recognise God-Given talent.
I'm sure you are wondering where this is going but well, here it is...
THE GRAMMYS. Yes! The Grammys. Gospel artists bagged awards at the Grammys. If you ask me, this is just the beginning friends.
So, let us see the people who bagged the awards and the categories.
1. Kirk Franklin for the best Gospel performance/Song.
The song "Wanna be happy" by Kirk Franklin, got him this award. This is Kirk's 8th Grammy award win so far. In this category, he beat other nominees like Anthony Brown & group therapy, Travis Greene, Israel & New Breed and Brian Courtney Wilson to it.
Here is what Kirk said when he took to twitter. "I'm so proud of all my gospel music Family today at the Grammys! It celebrates what we do but never defines who we are. Let's Go!"

2. Toby Mac for Best contemporary Christian Music Album
With his album "This is not a test" this is Toby's 3rd Grammy award. And he beat other nominees like Chris Tomlin for Love ran Red, Matt Meher for Saints and sinners, Lauren Daigle for How can it be and Jason Crabb for whatever the road.
After the win, the singer went on Twitter to say "official Grammy shot. Joy obvious, true thankfulness and as always, For the King."

3. Francesca Battistelli for Best performance Christian music/song
With her song " Holy Spirit", Francesca who was not present at the award ceremony, beat the likes of Toby Mac's "Feel it", Third Day's "soul on fire", Matt Maher's "because He lives(Amen)" and Crowder's "lift up your head weary sinner"
This happens to be her 2nd Grammy award and here is what she tweeted about it.
"At my in-laws in Pjs waiting on baby #3 (still a few weeks away) and absolutely floored by the news... A Grammy!!! Is this real life?!?!?!"

4. Israel Houghton for Best Gospel Album

5. The Fairfield Four for Best roots Gospel Album
Their album "still Rockin' my soul" won the award and this happens to be their 2nd win with their first in 1997 for the song "I couldn't hear nobody pray".
