Yesterday was Mother's Day and I use this medium to wish every mother and potential mother a happy Mother's Day.
Everyday should be a celebration for our mothers because they are indispensable.
Today, I am going to be speaking on JUDGE NOT.
The last time I wrote about this before I lost all my notes, I sounded like I was actually hurt; yes I mean, I was hurt. Why would we just wake up and begin to pass judgement on people that we barely even know?
Going through a person's story, I realised that God doesn't care how you are now, HE Loves you/ us regardless of whatever we do. HIS love in unconditional.
Ok here goes my story.
Story I: There is this famous star around the world (would keep his name anonymous) who traded his sanity for some really crazy stuff. I would call it "youthful immaturity". He ruined things, hurt people and stuff like that.
Some time later, he had some issues with the law and media which made him realise he'd been naughty all along.
I know you are all wondering where I'm heading with all these tales. But Chill, we are getting there gradually.
Story II: There is a church, also very popular who had popular people pastor it. In the Church are people from all walks of life. And one day, the pastor's wife thought of something. "I could be a source of inspiration to all these 'famous' people out there who really don't have any spiritual bearing ". So, she got to work.
She started being a mentor, adviser and mother to these people who the world did write off. And transformations began to happen.
The merger: this famous star in story I got wind about this church and this pastors and he said he would like to be baptised. "I am sorry for all the wrong I did. I want to be like JESUS but I don't want to be JESUS", he said. The pastor took the cue and baptised this famous star into Christ.
Remember, in story II, she wanted to be a mentor to those famous stars. And she did. She ended up being a mentor to story 1's famous star.
Comments:
1. "Wow, why would a pastor's wife be identified with these unbelievers? She's a disgrace to pastor's wives."
2. "Publicity stunt is what this famous star is after. He really didn't get born again"
3. " this world is coming to an end, do not be conformed to this world because of fame and riches"
4. "Do not be equally yoked with unbelievers. Why is this Pastor's wife doing this? Pastor's wife indeed".
As I read all those comments, it hit me really bad. Then I asked myself, "What exactly are we Christians doing?"
Are we just being Christians for our personal selves only?
Have we forgotten what our Great Commission is?
I mean, why would someone say that a person trying her best, to make sure those people around her who have noReligious stability find Christ, is a pretender and a non-Christian just because she houses them and mentors them?
What are YOU doing about the "Perishing" around you? None of your business? Really!
Many Christians today really haven't read our bibles to know that, we were not saved for ourselves alone. The Bible says, "you who have been saved, rise up for the salvation of another".
Really, you see a Christian brother walking up to this drunk guy and hanging out with him then all of a sudden we write him off completely as a back slider.
The long and Short of these things I ask and say is. Do not Judge.
We don't know how God works. We can't tell the ways He'll go.
Isn't HE the one who instructed Hosea to marry the prostitute? Hosea 1
Didn't Paul walk into the gathering of the Celebration "to the unknown God" and practically won all their souls? Acts 17
You never can tell.
Christians should stop being nosy.
Pursue your own salvation, win souls for Christ.
Remember, the bible says, "let he that is standing, take heed lest he falls." 1 Cor 10:12
The person we judge or the person we are writing off, might be God's next instrument of praise.
YOU NEVER CAN TELL!
BEWARE!!!
