DUST YOURSELF!

It's been a long time I actually felt this way.
But sometimes, inspirations are born from experiences and lessons.

I was listening to a message from a particular man of God, and I thought to share my thoughts with everyone.

There is no point beating yourself up. The did has been done. Why not move on?
I know it sounds very easy to say but actually, it's the best thing to do.

I'm sure many of you are wondering where this leads, and I'll tell you.

... A certain lady who is God-fearing, kind, smart and loving, came across a certain guy who she liked instantly.

Like the guy could read her thoughts, he approached her and one thing led to another and they began to date.

She had always told herself that she would not have any bodily contact with any guy till marriage. Not even a kiss you know...

One day, the guy invites her over (Mistake number 1) to his house when he was home alone. She went thinking to herself ."you know now, I'm his girl and we've been dating a while so he understands my stands he will never do a thing to hurt me plus he's also a Christian".

She gets there and after like what seemed to be a minute discussion, the guy moves close to her a plants a kiss softly on her lips. She did not hesitate and the guy went deeper and next thing, clothes were off and the unthinkable done.

When that was over, he just dressed himself and left her to dress herself.
The girl was bitter because she knew what her weakness was ...her inability to say NO and stand by the NO...

When she decided to leave, he just told her "bye" and that was it.

She was angry, sad and regretful. She hated herself and beat herself up for stooping so low.

She hated men and this affected her other relationships with them. Even those who were just friends with her, suffered the sins of the terrible guy...

This girl's story spurred me to writing this.
Why beat yourself up?
It's been done, just find out where you went wrong and you know, try to avoid a repeat.

For example:
1. She should just avoid secret meetings with men since she already knows her weakness. Or else, she would getting hurt till she can no longer feel again.

2. She should quit trusting. Trusting totally was her first big issue.

Trust me, if she can find herself doing these things, her new relationships would be better and her heart free from hurt.

Aaliyah's song keeps coming to mind.
"...dust yourself up and try again."

I just thought to share this. I really hope it blesses someone.

... Don't worry, be happy.
